Northumbria Walking Group

The Northumbria Walking Group is a group of people who like to go out walking. The group is primarily for people who are (or used to be!) in their 20's, 30's, and 40's

We are based in Newcastle but also cover Durham, Sunderland and Northumberland. Members lead walks every weekend to places such as Hadrian's Wall, the Cheviots, the Northumberland coast, Simonside, the Tyne valley etc. We also have weekends away to the Lake District, Scotland, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia etc and occasional overseas holidays.

Walks range from short, easy rambles to longer mountain scrambles.

Social events include bi-weekly pub nights and regular meals out.

Full access to this site can only be obtained by joining.

Non-members: To find out more about the group please drop us a line or ring Andy Wright on 0191 2745961. You are welcome to join us on our walks but please contact us before turning up in case of changes.

Members and walkers are reminded that they attend walks with this group at their own risk and they are responsible for their own personal safety.
